Florida Man vol. 3

Christian Courtney, Writer

Florida Man stories are bizarre stories that happen in the state of Florida. Florida has a lot of crazy people in it, which means we get crazy headlines. A lot of the stories that are out of Florida are from people that are under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs. Here’s a compilation of Florida Man Stories.

The first story was October 3, 2019, when Florida Man Randall Williams was arrested for cutting the brake lines of Lime scooters. 59-year-old Randall Williams was caught on video and was suspected to be the cause of 20 incidents in his neighborhood. This makes 140 incidents having to do with scooter vandalism since April in their city. Randall Williams was charged with criminal mischief.

The second story was from November 6, 2018, when Florida Man Brandon Hatfield was arrested for breaking into a crocodile enclosure. The employees at the Alligator Farm Zoological Park in St. Augustine, Florida did not see Brandon in the enclosure but did soon find a trail of blood that reached the top of the 20-foot fence for the enclosure and his Crocs he left behind. Brandon was stripped down to his underwear and was jumping multiple times into the alligator pit, showing little fear for the three, 12-foot alligators in front of him. According to the police report, an officer had noted that Hatfield was sitting on the bank of the pool when a crocodile latched onto his foot. Hatfield then frantically began trying to fight off the crocodile and eventually managed to get away. They later found the half-naked bleeding Florida Man and arrested him.

The last story is from July 10, 2018, When armless Florida Man Jonathan Crenshaw was arrested for stabbing a man. Just after midnight in Miami Beach, the 46-year-old homeless man stabbed a tourist from Chicago with a pair of scissors using his feet. Police found the victim, 22-year-old Cesar Coronado, lying on the ground with a stab wound to his left arm. According to Cesar, he and his friend asked Crenshaw for directions, and for no reason Crenshaw stabbed him. Luckily, Crenshaw was charged with aggravated battery, and Cesar was able to recover.
