Disney has been a juggernaut in the entertainment industry for nearly an entire century. Their first cartoon, Steam Boat Willy, was released in 1928 and in the last 90 years, they’ve expanded their reach in entertainment exponentially. Disney’s newest effort is in its new streaming service, Disney+. This service, released on November 12th, includes Disney’s full library of movies and television. Disney has collaborated with its subsidiaries and other companies such as; Marvel, LucasArts, National Geographic and Pixar to bring a truly unique streaming experience to combat the likes of Netflix and Hulu.

Pricing is one of the most important parts of any subscription service and Disney’s is a competitive one. The streaming service starts out at $6.99 monthly of $69.99 annually. Disney’s also offering a $12.99 monthly bundle that includes, Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN. Their prices are extremely competitive since sites like Netflix start a $9.99 a month and go all the way up to $15.99, making Disney+ one of the cheapest options.

Content is the main thing that draws in your audience. With Disney+, you get every single Disney Channel Original Movie and Disney Channel show. The shows target kids from the ’90s and 2000s with shows like Wizards of Waverly Place, Suite Life of Zack and Cody, and That’s So Raven. With Disney’s collaboration with other studios, we have over 7,000 shows, documentaries, and movies provided by Pixar, National Geographic, and Marvel. The selection of shows will keep people of all ages entertained for hours and hours.

The popularity of Disney+ is unprecedented. Over 10 million people purchased Disney+ on the first day, one of the biggest turnouts for a streaming service. In comparison, Apple TV+ has been considered a disappointment and the company says it didn’t meet expected adoption rates. With a wide selection of shows and movies to last you a lifetime, Disney+ is worth your money.
