Dogecoin is a cryptocurrency invented by software engineers Billy Markus and Jackson Palmer. They invented it for fun and designed it to be free from banking fees. It was introduced on December 6, 2013, and developed its own online community, reaching a market total of 85 billion U.S. dollars on May 5, 2021. In the last two days, it has increased 15 cents to 66 cents per share. Millions of people have invested in Doge hoping it’ll be the next Bitcoin, but experts say that It’s not likely to even reach a dollar by the end of 2021. Dogecoin was started as a joke by getting the name from a meme. I don’t believe it’s a joke anymore because billionaires like Elon Musk talked about it and promoted it.
